Cousin Layne was a great host for her first birthday party. She was oddly entranced
by the entertainment, lured in by her voice and guitar. At one point she stopped and
gave Max a puzzled look, wondering why he too wasn't entranced. I think Max was on
to the Pied Piper of Hoboken and sat somewhat skepitcally on Meri's lap...until the bubbles
came out. Then he was following along just like all the other children.
