This weekend we were adventurous and went to Greenport for two nights. We were even more crazy and packed for the weekend in just three small bags: A big one for Max and Meri (thanks, Jill & Deej!), a small one for me and a small diaper bag for Max. Would we need anything else? If so, some combination of 7-11 and the Arcade would have what we need, right? After battling an LIE closure in Nassau County, we eventually made it out there in about 2 1/2 hours with Max sleeping the whole way.
Upon our arrival, we noticed that Grandma Gail made another Target trip and picked up an extra Bumbo. What a relief -- Max now has a place to sit in Greenport and we don't have to schlep out a chair for him. (Though soon, his thighs will get permanently stuck in the seat).
The slideshow below shows some of the highlights of our weekend. Outside of the cup that held our $5 lemonade breaking in Mitchell Park, we had a great time. The only highlight of the weekend that the slide show doesn't capture are the videos that I took of Max talking (more like screaming) when Mickey and Barbara were over. Max is discovering how to use his extra large lungs next to his extra large belly.

He is even more adorable in person.
ReplyDeleteGrandpa Vic and Grandma Gail are now realizing how special being a grandparent really is!
Looking forward to another day with Max Henry!
